We advise you to start a tour of the beaches of Miami from the south (next to l'Hospitalet de l'Infant) to the north (Cambrils).
Playa de Cristal
This extensive beach (1,300 meters) has a beautiful and lively promenade, ideal to stretch your legs or for outdoor sports (cycling, running, skating). It is one of the liveliest places in town, with bars, restaurants and several beach bars of excellent quality. The beach is very well equipped and has a playground for children and space to practice sports like beach volleyball.
Cala Bot and Cala California
North of Playa de Cristal, you will find these two coves, which are connected to each other and together they form a small beach of about 220 meters. At the base of some pine covered cliffs, Cala Bot and Cala California are fine golden sand beaches. However, as it happens in the rest of beaches and coves nearby, some parts of their shores are covered with fine pebbles, and close to the shore the water already gets quite deep.
Cala Santa Fe and Cala del Misteri
Continuing north, these two charming coves really are just one, the largest in Miami Platja. Although there are a lot more buildings here than in other areas in the village, it still maintains its Mediterranean essence and offers services such as a beach bar.
Cala del Solitari
Isolated, cozy and quiet, this charming beach of barely 140 meters long stays sheltered from the daily grind by a natural barrier consisting of some cliffs covered with vegetation.
Undoubtedly, one of our favorite coves. And yet an important fact: there is a small beach bar serving drinks and snacks.
Cala de les Sirenes
Another one of the top highlights in the area. Cala de les Sirenes has been kept virtually untouched by the action of man. Throughout its 180 meters long, Cala de les Sirenes is perfect for those who love nature and want to enjoy a relaxing bath between the rocks. As above, it also has a beach bar.
Cala dels Vienesos
With its 80 meters in length it is the smallest cove in Miami Platja, although it is quite wide. Like their neighbors, the charming Cala dels Vienesos has golden sand and it becomes rapidly deep as you walk into the sea, like everywhere else around. It has no beach bar service.
Platja de l’Estany Gelat
In the northern part of town several interconnected beaches virtually reach the neighboring town of Cambrils. This is one of the quieter and less crowded areas off the coast of Miami and Mont-Roig del Camp.
The Playa de l’Estany Gelat is 340 meters long and 60 meters wide, and it remains wild and isolated because it has no direct access from the road nor a promenade. On windy days, this beach is very popular among kite-surf lovers.
Platja de la Porquerola
Porquerola beach is very long (2,600 meters) but narrow (15-20 meters). This beach is for campers, since besides direct accesses from campsites, the only other way to access this beach is through some quite hidden little trails.
Platja de la Pixerota
A beach located at the northern end of the municipality which is 1,900 meters long by about 20 meters wide. With good access and services, it is an excellent choice to spend a quiet day as it is usually not very busy, although August may be an exception.
